In the UK, but who knows ... could be USA next since they got a 1 billion dollar makeover about to happen in the USA.

Less employees = more in the unemployment line. Corporate GREED.

I dunno about you guys, but in my opinion, less McD's cashiers = more correct orders. Their house payments for my correct orders is a fair trade.

I know they were pilot testing this, but I can't see this happening. Human customer service is always an important part. They're as it is anyways

Random story, but I visited a drive-thru of a local Mcdicks that I haven't been to in years. I swear once I pulled up it sounded automated.

Go to a McDonalds at lunchtime on a Saturday, the places are full of teenagers, how many teenagers do you know who carry credit cards?

They already do this at the Jack-n-the-box here in San Diego. There is still 1 human window though. So it's not completely computer.

I RARELY see anyone use the computer. IDK how long it will take people to get used to it. They're certainly going to lose customers as not everyone is going to be comfortable with it, others wont understand how to use it (have you seen people try to operate the self check-out at any store?

I know this is an old thread, but seeing as it was resurrected already....I'd like to comment on this, JITB has been implementing the kiosk ordering system for years and it seems to be readily accepted by customers. I guess it depends on the location as I know of some with two kiosks (SD College Area) which have lines for their use due to the ability to access all menu options (i.e. customization is now possible) and their ease of use.
