Is this thread synonymous to "De-Value" the Collectability Factor of a Steelbook Package?

I seriously doubt it. If taking a part one steelbook devalues that person's SteelBook because its no longer original then in that same ideology it only increases the value of others since there is one less of that steels qty off the market. ;p

I couldn't care less if I "devalue" my SteelBooks. I don't care about their value, because I collect SteelBooks for the enjoyment and I know that I will never recoup what I have spent, and have no intention of ever selling any (keep your hands off my Iron Man).

I also open them all and watch them. If I can make them look a little better than they were originally, then all well and good. I just can't understand why people will buy a SteelBook, keep it sealed and buy an Amaray to watch, just so they may make a profit on them later.

@Zesty

Great job on the Wolfman Steel. Looks great!

Well said and put, totally agree with it all. Guess I'll be upsetting more people when my 100th Anniversary Serenity turns up as I have the new inside already printed for when it arrives :hilarious:

But before that think 300 may well be done later on today :oohyeah:

^ Look forward to seeing them Zesty.

I'm gonna work on the inside art of The Thing French SteelBook tomorrow. Already have artwork printed for Gran Torino German 1st release when it arrives from a fellow collector.

^ I just use a Bic glue stick and some sellotape double-sided tape. I fix the spine art to the spine using tape, and I glue the spine back on the plastic by rubbing the glue stick along the plastic AND the spine artwork. This way also gives you a bit of flexibility in moving the spine around until you have it in position. For best results remove any lumps of glue before fixing. Glue dries clear. Then I place SteelBook on its spine for about 15 minutes, and its done

You chose well for the Serenity artwork. Devil's Double looks good too.

Modified Gran Torino - German 1st release SteelBook.

Changed it from 1-Disc to 2-Disc to house my Blu and DVD copies.

^ NICE!

I'm thinking of using the same artwork for my Expendables SteelBook. Not happy with the artwork that I have in there now. Possibly my worst looking inside art so far.
