What dimensions do the outside of the spine need to be when printing? And how do i attach the print out out for inside and outer artwork on the spine? Glue? Any help appreciated!Hi guys, where can i find the converting jumbos into slimlines thread linked in the opening post?
I need to know how to do the spine and the best paper to print the spine and inside art on to? I dont have access to a good printer unfortunately. With 42 pages to read it may get difficult to keep track!

For attaching, I like to use thin double-sided tape...its easier to handle than glue is. As far as dimensions, you could probably just measure one and go from there. I've printed my spines on just normal photo paper. Seems to look and work fine.
Something like this:http://www.amazon.com/Scor-SP202-Scor-Tape-27yds-Rolls/dp/B00GKTALX6/ref=sr_1_8?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1386633919&sr=1-8&keywords=double+sided+tape+1%2F4

Thanks - makes sense i guess!
So for the spine would you remove the metal spine already on there, stick the tape on the spine and put the interior artwork spine on, then put sticky tape on top of that and then apply the outside spine art?
Maybe i should have just kept the jumbo![]()
Is the glue residue strong enough to put the interior image straight on the spine? I took one metal spine off and reapplied it and it was quite strong?
Usually, yes....but it can look quite messy from the inside. Up to you and your preference, really![]()
I cut the components first using a ruler and an exacto knife. Even if it is not 100% if you are a bit off no one will notice

)Nice! Those are fantastic! The Red 2.

Goddammit i was nearly there!
Had everything set up, used the glue on the spine for the inside and it lined up - used the stix2 tape as recommended by blu-devil on top then put the outer spine on and.......the guillotine id used had made a hash of it so the white from the back of the inner art spine could be seen![]()

You want more gloss finish on steelbook ?
get a Zero-finish steelbook (Looper, Prometheus....) and a polishing machine with polish and go !
I tried this afternoon on my ugly From Dusk till Dawn steelbook France, and in hand the result is awesome ! (not very impressive on picture, but try it)
No polish :
Polish
No polish/polish![]()
