i was wondering what type of double sided tape are being used for the spine after transfer. I use doublesided tissuetape, but after some time it let loose. i even tried 3M Scotch 904 but the spine won't stick on the inlay

Here are mine modifications.
Some steelbooks have odd internal arts because of misconfiguration in printing.
Hope you guys like it.

I WANT THIS ONE!

What is your printing setup (image resolution, print paper, etc)?

I use a Photoshop template to make the artwork.
I just insert a high quality picture in the template.
Than I print using a regular photo paper size A4.
Cut the art and insert in the steelbook.
If anyone want, I can post the template (if it is allowed).

Been a while since I had any of these to do!! ;)

Now off to do my SS buddy something :wtf:

Have slimmed down 5 Jumbos so far (Indiana Jones Quadrilogy, Jurassic Park Trilogy, Lord Of The Rings, Monsters, Inc and Up.
Next will be The Hobbit and The Walking Dead: Season 3. Already made up a spine for The Hobbit. Just need a 4 disc insert.

Does anyone know of some cheap steels that have 3 disc holders. I wanna convert my Disney steels to hold all the discs. I miss viva metal packs. :/

If you're in the US, go to Best Buy and pickup The Dark Knight Rises for $7.99 clearance. I did the same thing to my Target exclusive Django.

I used a guitar pick to remove the steel from the plastic.

There are tutorials on how to remove the spine so you don't bend it. I used an exacto and the swaying/rocking back-and-forth motion to cut through the adhesive.

Goo Gone to remove the glue

Then a roll of double sided acid free tape from the local craft store (Michael's will have this, it's clear, thin, and perfectly fit to the size of the spine (about 5-6mm))

Good luck!

Apparently Best Buy doesnt have any steelbooks in stock. Last week there were a dozen Dark Knight Rises and the whole aisle cap stand of Comic Book steels. Now nothing. I also went to get Boogie Nights on Blu Ray for only $6 and thats not in store anymore either.

Damn.. You should check some others, I can't imagine this bring gone all over
