I got these in yesterday. 100% without a doubt, Steelbook of the year for me thus far. :D

I love the weight and sturdiness of them, plus the artwork is awesome too. Thanks to KimchiDVD for the topnotch stuff as always.

What shipping method did you use?

Worst case then I could be out £60+

Not good at all

Been watching this thread and your concerns mate. All I'd say is don't work your self up until anything is confirmed from customs

You might be unlucky, but every time there is a sought after release from Korea or Taiwan the same thing happens in these threads and folks get twitchy about their orders.

Many times after all the update changes on the tracking info the packages make it out the other side without any customs charges and everyone is happy again. Fingers crossed that is the case for you.

I would also say that Tony / Kimchi do what they are supposed to regarding the paperwork and I think it would be harsh to expect them to be accountable for any customs charges if people do get stung by them. UK customs charges are some of the worst you will find but that is a headache that we have to deal with over here once in a while. Can't blame Tony for that sort of stuff imo

Choi - would it be possible for you to speak to Tony on this ? Several of us have incurred extra charges because Kimchi forgot an invoice. Really, he should be reimbursing us for this mistake

Give Tony a break! What he should be doing is marking the actual value on every parcel. Instead he is going out of his way to help people out by marking a lower than actual value which, by the way, is illegal. You have no right to demand that he reimburses any extra charges that you may incur, that is the risk you take when you order anything over £15 from outside the EU.

I have no problems paying charges where they are due. I've been ordering items from outside the uk for over 25 years, so I know the process.

However if the paperwork is not there for customs to assess and make judgement on then this is a mistake I should not have to pay for.

How about you climb down from your high horse and actually read the thread and what has been posted.

Again, if you are not affected by this, I don't see why you are commenting. If you don't have anything constructive to post, then don't.

Thanks for the calm post. I agree with you and if it was just a case of this being 'caught by customs' I would have no problems. However this is not the case. I have spoken to customs. Paperwork is missing. I am being penalised for this. That is what I am unhappy at.

Let me repeat, if this was a normal case of a package being judged by customs to have a charge levied against, I have no problems with this. I've been charged many times over the past 25 years and have not complained once.

However, if the seller does not include all the necessary documentation, then why should I be the one penalised for this ?

Charges are due, namely VAT and handling charges on a $50 steelbook. You were hoping to avoid them by having the seller mark a lower value.

However if the paperwork is not there for customs to assess and make judgement on then this is a mistake I should not have to pay for.

True. Tony should supply UK Border Agency with the correct paperwork, then they can charge you VAT and handling charges on a $50 steelbook. As it is, you may get charged less as they will estimate the value.

How about you climb down from your high horse and actually read the thread and what has been posted.

Er, I've been following the thread since day 1.

Pointing out the pitfalls of importing goods is constructive. Some people reading this thread may actually believe they are entitled to have a shipper undervalue parcels.

How about you get off your high horse and stop making out you've been hard done by?

I sympathize with any member that has to pay additional charges for custom fees, but any issue with the retailer should be expressed with the retailer directly or in the retailer thread. By no means am I trying to undermine those affected, however, we should keep the thread on track regarding the steelbook itself. Hope you understand and best of luck. I hope it gets worked out for all of you :)

Fair points made, but there's no point falling out over UK customs so let's just take a breather on that subject before it gets too heated in here. Like darczap says it probably belongs in the Kimchi thread anyway ;)

Fingers crossed the steelbooks start landing safely for everyone so we can start to enjoy them :)

Received mine today :scat: Got #134 of the 1/4 slip and #234 of the lenticular

About the sleeve they sent (nice by the way)... It fit great on the sealed 1/4 slip but felt pretty tight on my sealed Lenticular. The new movie-style sleeves fit the sealed lenticular like a glove

Also, the sleeve that is included is nice, but needs to be protected. I would not use as it is has significant "scatching".

I received my steelbooks yesterday and they are SWEEEEET.

As for customs and invoicing, the K-Packet Customs Declaration form (CN22) on the package had the exact amount of what I paid. That was what I expected. I did not get charged by Canada Post and Customs for any additional amount.

I have always asked that the exact amount be put on the Customs Declaration form when ordering from them. And they should for everyone.

Is this not happening for some of the UK members?

I have raised the customs issue in the Retailer Thread as requested, so no further discussion around the subject here please - Lets keep it to the steelbook itself

Cheers

Monsters Inc arrived for me this morning, via K-packet. :oohyeah:

Didn't even have time to open the box. I'll have to wait a bit longer, roll on 5pm.

So I should get them soon as well. :) what u tracking number say Stephen ?

I have feelings tracking number works only to Korea territory ( no updates after ) I talking about k-packet only .

Here you go morfeusz.

Without customs charges it looks like it only takes around 3/4 days for delivery after the GBLALA update. GBLALA being the final update. Quite impressed with K-Packet, at only 9 days total.
