Picked up mine at post office this morning, packed excellently as always

Got the 1/4 slip and the lenticular, and boy are they nice. The lenticular in particular I really like, I'm a sucker for a full slip and the lenticular front is great

They have a really good weight to them (all those extras!) and look great on my shelf :)

Kimchi packaging is certainly better than Zavvi but it is not that great. The cardboard box is flimsy and can easily pick up damages during transit. 90% of the packages I received from Kimchi had damages to the packaging.

I don't disagree with your assessment of the cardboard boxes used by Kimchi, but what's the problem? Have the contents ever been damaged?

I've received some pretty battered boxes from Kimchi, but the contents have always been pristine, as there's plenty of bubble wrap to go around. Definitely not planning to reuse these boxes, anyway...

I'm pretty disappointed in this. The images used seem to be lower rez and there are jagged edges around the images. Not only that but the steel itself is so easily scratchable. Oh well... guess I'll wait for another edition from elsewhere :(

My two lenticulars arrived today. They have streaks running across it in the same exact place on both of them. I am afraid it could be a widespread issue. :(

I am extremely OCD when it comes to steels. I can spot a flaw on every steel ever made.

would it be difficult to photograph to see it? i know lenticulars are not the easiest to take a pic of.

Welcome to the family!!! :scat:

(Don't worry, the FS steel ain't damaged in the corner... it's only the picture with the sleeve...)

Now, let's compare with my custom G2:

Note to self: maybe change that FS's inside spine art... :naughty:

Kimchi included an EXCLUSIVE protective sleeve!!! :oohyeah:

Now, that's the way I packed it:

Don't panic guys. You've been so patient to wait this long and another week won't hurt. The end result will still be an awesome steel in your hands!!

If those trackers are anything to go by then apparently half my KR orders are still in Incheon, not taking pride of place on my shelf.

I always go for the 'cheaper' postage option and it always gets here just fine. I'm sure it will be the same for you and that it won't be much longer. Problem with EMS tracking is that it tells you your package is in customs and causes panic on here. I'd rather not know tbh! :p

PREACH!!!

Got mine today. Excellent steelbook. Quite happy with it but I must point out some flaws on mine.
On the back there is a tiny bump on the steelbook that is missing paint. Therefore, it looks like a raised paint chip, if that makes any sense. There are also very fine scratches around this area. Looks like a manufacturing defect.
The lenticular slipcover has three very noticeable streaks running horizontally across. However, only noticeable from a sideways angle.
All in all, glad to have this steel.

After getting the Lenticular Steelbook version today and thoroughly combing through all the nooks and crannies I have come to the conclusion that this is a steel to own but far from a Slam Dunk. This steelbook offers exclusiveness (like a premium membership on HDN :D) with all the extras that anyone could love but also makes us realize that we should temper expectations. Let me first dive into the outer regions of the steel before going inside to tell about the goodies.

The Lenticular slip is what sets this steel apart from others because it is something that only a select few steels have and what more steels should have in the future. The steelbook uses a arrangement of colors that are surely to make anyone feel overjoyed to own this copy and boasts a great amount of detail from the movie to satisfy any Monsters Inc fan. The back of the slip is a bit of a letdown though because of it not being in English (I know what you are thinking but keep reading, I'll address later) and also the numbering should be on the slip itself (tried too hard to get fancy) and not on some card that could easily fall off or worse off, become lost.

The inside of this steel is what really makes this go from average to good in a flash and this is because of the Stickers, Art Cards and Storybook. The Stickers are a nice added touch to this steel simply because who really doesn't like stickers? (everyone loves stickers!) The Art Cards are a thing of the past but I love when a steel includes them because it is like bringing the past to the present. The Storybook is the winner here because it gives you an element that you were not expecting to see but also leaves you scratching your head as well. This is a fun thing to have to read on the go or to the kiddies but also makes you think, If this is in English then why couldn't the back of the slip be as well? (something to ponder about at night)

Lastly we have the Inside art and although I think they could have chosen a better picture (I agree too much thumbs up  everywhere) I still like the colorfulness and clarity it provides to the steel owner. In a day with so many fuzzy pictures or no inside art I take this to be modest victory for this steelbook. (Oooo what the hell :thumbs::thumbs:)

I would give this a 7/10

Positives: Lenticular Slip. Extras, Great use of Color, Crisp looking inside art, 3D and FREE KIMCHIDVD SLIP :scat:

Negative: Back of Slip, Thumbs up? and way slip is numbered

Thanks for reading!!! :movie:
