Indeed, indeed!Interseting how its people with connections within the industry are defending the practices or re-releases.
They sure don't represent my views.
By doing this with unpopular releases first, then they're able to judge the level of resistance from collectors.I don't really care too much either way about Re-Releases, but I don't really get those recent ones: I've never heard anybody looking for either "Elysium" or "Moon". I've been looking for things like "Jaws", "Once upon a time in America", "Man on Fire", "Evil Dead 2", "Army of Darkness" etc. for ages, but if I had looked for "Elysium" or "Moon", I could have always picked those up on the secondary market for below cost price....
So, do we finally get to know the weight of a steelbook?

It keeps running into problems when I try to upload it.
Interestingly it’s a very clear number
That'll be down to gravity. The clues in the title of the lighter steelbook...Interestingly, I just checked a single disc Steelbook that was not glossy (like this one) and it weighed more![]()

Some steelbooks are thinner, I heard European ones are made of thinner metal, than US ones.Interestingly, I just checked a single disc Steelbook that was not glossy (like this one) and it weighed more![]()

My Shout Factory Nightcrawler and Wanted 4k steelbooks are thicker and more weighty. Much better quality with a more sturdy feel compared to other steelbooks. Some steelbooks are thinner, I heard European ones are made of thinner metal, than US ones.
