the most i dropped for a steel was in fact last week on ebay from a german seller. i won an auction for the Star Trek (UK) steel new and sealed for £56, im not normally one for going above £50 for a steel so this was a one off.

My most expensive steelbook is Transformers ROTF FS release.
Cost me $110.00 ( inc Shipping ) and to my suprise came sealed with a sealed amaray of the film including slipcover !
my second most expensive is the play.com Star Trek Steelbook.

I got a transformers 2 steel sealed for $75. Did you get that transformers steel off ebay? My most expensive steels are Indiana jones I got for $70 open, Transformers 2 $75 sealed, and Iron Man open but mint for $80. Got these all this year.
The Fnac Dream Machine incl Steelbook costed me €103.49 incl shipping but it was worth every penny to me 
It's also the most valuable to me in terms of personal/emotional value
The one that was most expensive was Indiana Jones 4 for $128.95 incl shipping/pp. I regret this purchase the most because I don't like the movie and only bought it for its rarity. After I got it, I didn't really know why I had to get it anymore...

im both tight and lucky. ok i dont have the holy grails yet (IM, indy, rambo, romeo, moulin) but i have some valuable ones that i got for reasonable prices.
TF2 set me back £40, and i recently got public enemies for £30. neither are mint though.
i got the first 3 resi evils (can) for around£60. not sure how valuable they are, but ice age trilogy and id4 are 2 of my faves too.
also got unstoppable (wasnt as impressed as i thought i would be. thought it was supposed to be embosesed) that was £35 i think.
some bargains i got.... terminator salv uk steely with t2 us amaray for £9 off ebay once.

A lot of videogame steelbooks cost a pretty penny, but mainly because of the games themselves, which retail well above 60 USD in foreign countries, or come as part of full collector's edition.

The most expensive steelbook for me was definitely the german BATMAN BEGINS/THE DARK KNIGHT blu-ray edition.
Cost me £40 but before that was trying to get it from one other collector and got scammed by him and lost another £40 so owning this steelbook cost me £80 altogether.

I am just new to collecting steelbooks so I dont have any of the holy grails. My most expensive was the first two Harry Potter FS exclusive steelbooks together they cost me £52.00
