NBA Offseason

Why would fisher go to the heat? His daughter's cancer doctor is in LA, and they just won a championship ... I think he resigns, if he goes to the Heat its because they promise him a starting role and he is being an idiot. Although I'd love to see him there.

Well honest truth is all about cash, I've been listening to some local sports radio and the problem is that lakers are offering 5 mill for next season and he wants more. So negotiations are stuck.

He flew to Miami either yesterday or today and had a meeting with em. Sounded like the lakers weren't offering him what he wanted.

Nope, he wants 6 or 7 mill a year.

I think his daughter is doing better now anyways, so I guess he could go elsewhere. But c'mon ... no way in hell Miami can afford to give him 7 mill or even 5 for that matter. Supposedly its already been said they cant spend more than 1 mill per every other player ... I gues they could pay some league mins and put a lil more elsewhere but no idea.

Bingo. Sign some end of the bench men for League minimum and weight as much of the money as you can to the end of your starting five and your first 2 or so off the bench.

But see, I think if they pay Fisher that much, it wont be a starting 5 + 2 ... it'd be just those 4 and all league mins.

Honestly, you cant invest that much in Fish if you are going to start him ... if he gets injured your f00ked. Get 2 other guys at around 2 mil each and league min the rest. Playing alongside those 3 will only make them better.

but if they can pull off fish plus 3 decent guys like u say ... thatd be cool.

They already have Mario to back up Fisher if he goes down. He is a pretty good backup. You could pickup fisher for a few mill, They might be able to find a decent Center willing to sign for the League Minimum or just over and they have been in talks with Mike Miller. So there would be your five + 1.

mario chalmers sucks. Not one Bill Self KU NBA prospect has panned out.

Chalmers wasn't an amazing player in college. Besides one shot he had a very average career at KU. He has translated about exactly how you would expect to the pros. And Bill Self hasn't exactly had a boatload of top NBA prospects. Including this year he has had like 11 people drafted in the 6 or 7 years he has been there. And it's not like the people that went pro were busts.....The best person I can see that he sent to the pro's has been Rush who averages a little under 10 a game in an off again on again starting role. However it would be fair to say that Deron Williams did pan out and he was Bill Self Recruited and coached for a year or two.

The heat signed Haslem and Mike Miller. That gives them a solid 6th man and somebody who can play SF. And the way they have been talking about it, the chances of Lebron playing PG are getting Highly likely.

Big Z says he will follow Lebron to Miami.

Lebron
Wade
Miller
Bosh
Big Z

6th Man: Haslem

Now that is a lineup that looks like it could compete with the championship lakers.

LMAO PG ... I dont think it will happen but if it does, I feel sorry for all other Point Guards hahahahahaha.

Matt Barnes and Ratcliff are joining your champions the Los Angeles Lakers :scat:

Looks like these two signings have completely left Shannon Brown out of a team. He must be kicking his own ass for opting out when he had a chance to continue. :hilarious:

...like Ariza last year, but who knows supposedly Kupchak still in talks with Brown joining. Ratcliff is old but still averaged 1.5 blocks last year in 22 minutes and hopefully still has some left in the tank.:oohyeah:

Yeah I know stupid Ariza would have a 2nd ring rather than spending his career playing in that chump team....what's that team called? oh yeah Frockets or Rockets I mean :hilarious:

I heard on the Petros and Money show that they are still talking to him, but I feel that he locked himself out. I mean he asked for double the money and now that we got Matt Barnes he'll probably be thinking the same thing. Stupid move to opt himself out.

Looks like Cleveland is after Shannon Brown. I am assuming that with this there's no chance of him coming back to LA eh? Rumor is that Vujacic is on the trade block.

Looks like Eddie House will be going to the Miami Heat.
