New Alien Anthology

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could confirm or deny my suspicions.

I've stumbled upon this set:

I had a look on YouTube for an unboxing video, to which I found one, and the boxes looked as though they are the slimmer ones (but not as slim as the US ones). Could somebody confirm or deny this for me?

I dont have that set myself but I have seen in in asda, and yeah they were the slimmer style cases - similar to the US ones

I was going to buy a set from the UK, but they had both the US and that one available. I liked the darker set instead.

the darker set was alot thicker when i first bought mine but i think it went oop and they brought the slimmer ones out.

I have the original "foldout" and also the French set, and this looks the same art as the French set. I'll link a photo in my Alien collection tomorrow.

Also the 'darker' set (which on its initial release was a fold out digipack, then replaced with a chunky amaray in a slipcase) contained the extras disks, this version only contains the films, no extras, so as I already have the extras in my original 'quadrilogy' dvd set I didnt see the need to rebuy the extras - many that Ive still not watched on the dvd's on Blu ray so I went for the Play.com steelbook, looks nice, just has the films, and takes up less shelf space than a boxset, and if I want to watch the extras I'll watch the dvd's

Thanks for the replies. If they're slimmer, I'll be avoiding it like the plague and just buy them all individually!

This 6 disc set is the one to go for if you want the special features.

I have to agree. This is the set I have. I wouldn't want a set without the extras discs
