Comparisons could definitely be made from this to the lenti and full slip of drive.
I'm thinking nova had that in mind when designing this release.

I also thought Jake deserved nomination. He gave such a great performance. I remember when I saw Donnie Darko for the first time and I was so impressed with him. From the nominees I personally didn't see anything spectacular in Cooper or Cumberbatch performances. Eddie Redmayne sure deserved to be there, he did a great job with Stephen Hawking role, no doubt about it. I also liked Steve Carell as John du Pont. Michael Keaton, yeah many wanted him to win, he was good, maybe one day. Anyway, Jake was one of the top 5 for sure.

Totally agree with your comment. As my wife and I were watching the movie, we were taken in by Jakes character. We were like...omg..this guy's nuts.

Huge mistake making a 5K print run for a movie that didn't even close to put up blockbuster box office numbers. There is a reason you can already stream this from Netflix, didn't cost them much to acquire the rights. This doesn't mean I didn't think it was a very good movie because I thought it was excellent.

1-2K Print run would have been plenty. I might buy a Full Slip at some point but will wait for some in hand shots as there is no worry about any of these selling out IMO.

I actually prefer the 5K print run. We don't have be there at preorder time exactly and spend about 1 - 2 hrs b!tching about Magento (I'm sure you know about NM servers). If you like this movie and want to add a special limited edition to your collection, now you actually have a chance (without any stress).

And yes, I know there are people who collect simply for its rarity. But I guess this is not a release for them ;):)

Indeed this will give us time to pre-order some time after it goes live, so we'll be able as @AlienKing stated if we want to wait so not stress about it and having to get up at early times, it might be nice to have a stress free pre-order (like Begin Again). I agree the 5K Print run will give us more time for pre-order...
