I'm not crazy about this artwork either--seems below par for Nova. I much prefer steelbooks/slipcovers where there's a visual flow from front cover to back. Doesn't have to be one wide image spread across both panels, so long as the two panels complement each other visually. Lacking that, I'll gladly settle for a back cover that just features some type of iconic symbol or visual motif related to the movie--the scorpion on the back of Nova's Drive steelbook being a good example. But the artwork they've apparently chosen for Nightcrawler is the perfect example of lazy, dull cover design: just slap two visually unrelated images of an actor from the film on front and back. I'm really hoping they revise this.

I agree, love the back artwork as it does capture the spirit of the movie as I mentioned before but the front I find brings nothing to the release(as @C.C. 95 's post was perfect on spot)

...but they did nail Drive Artwork all 3 versions although the Fullslip and 1/4 slip were my favorites. It was really well designed with the Pink color used from the Opening Credits on the FullSlip and also the steel was just slick, back artwork and also front artwork with the lamp from the movie it had just so many subtle intricate elements with that release. One of the Best from last year IMO.

Methinks PA gave a lot of help on designs in the early days!!;)

I never bought anything from PA, their releases were not my cup of tea so excuse my Ignorance but Methinks is someone that works for PA ? and I assume you meant PA gave help to Nova in the beginning when they started their Exclusive line ?

Yup. PA has said so. They designed a few that I know of that were not theirs. (Like Cabin in the Woods).
It's either Kimchi or Nova...but PA helped one of them or both...

Looks like there's a little cultural confusion here. "Methinks" is an archaic (Medieval?) English phrase that is sometimes used jokingly by people from the UK, US, and probably other primarily English speaking countries. It simply means "I think." It's not a person. ;)

ok I get it know, thanks for explaining :) english is my secondary language reason why my english is broken at times...

ok so they helped in some of the earlier releases, but this one was left to Nova by themselves to design, come to think of it I remember past releases seeing the Kimchi or PA symbol in the OP mockup :dunno:

PS: just went to verify and I get it now, Plain Archive designed Drive Nova, I guess it could be why it turned out as one of the best from last year. They added the information bottom of Mockup Picture.

Methinks your English is pretty damn good, actually. I hate being that typical American who can't speak any other languages. I tried for years to do something about that, but it's very difficult to learn new languages once you're past a certain age.

I know that PA has been involved with some of Nova's past releases, but I thought it was usually in a technical capacity (as opposed to a creative one). But I do remember that at least one of the Kimchi/PA collaborations involved creative input from PA.

Edit: I see the info you just added about Drive--interesting. I'm going to look into what other Nova releases PA helped design.

I like the artwork and debossing/gloss is usually a good combination but there are a couple of issues. The inside artwork would be better flipped so it isn't covered by the disc and the blood splatter is uneccesary as is the tag line on the back. I don't know what the Korean obsession is with splatter effects and tag lines but I wish they would stop it.

Maybe they can have the disc on the other side? otherwise we can just flip the inner holder ourselves, the spine would just be backwards, unless we flip that too...

Or the cheapest way would be to get one of those spider stickers and just put one on the left side:

I don't like the inside but it's ok...

Still love the artwork. But I can't stop thinking this front cover is perfect for a full slip, with the back in orange shades, with the wall or something else.
