3 Nov 2014 — A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks, we have received so much support from you all and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Alice’s consultant has broken the news, that even with all your support, his appeal has been refused by NHS England. However an independent charity, alerted by this petition, has stepped in and I am delighted to say that thanks to their amazing generosity Alice will receive the first part of her treatment this week!!!!
I am sure you are all with me in wishing her all the luck in the world with her treatment and her ongoing recovery in the next few days, weeks and months.
Without the intervention of this wonderful charity, Alice and our family would have had to try and raise the money over the coming weeks and months, which would take time she did not have. By stepping in and helping Alice they have given her the chance of life. Therefore I am asking, if you can, to help us raise money for this fantastic charity so that they can continue to help and support other people in Alice’s position who deserve treatment which isn’t being given by the NHS.

To be told the answer is there, but it is out of your reach due to funding, paperwork, or whatever the reason, is a devastating blow that some people don’t get the chance to get over. Alice has been so lucky to find help to fund her treatment with thanks to each and every one of you. Because of you and this petition we have won this battle.

But the fight is not over, Alice is just one of many and there will continue to be cancer patients that could have life saving treatment, but will be refused it by the NHS, we need to continue making our voices heard to get this to parliament and make a lasting difference so that this does not happen again.

Lets make a difference, lets make a change.

Thank you all once again for everything you have done to help us with this, we couldn’t of done any of it without you and we hope we can count on your continued support for the petition and this fantastic charity.
I will keep you all updated on Alice’s progress.
Thank you so so much xxxx
