I haven't seen the price of that yet, maybe it's advisable for me to hold onto something before I do!![emoji38] I've just got in the group buy for the Film Arena Terminator exclusive and the price was great! But I suppose anything Marvel / Disney is going to be expensive!! I'm a bit New to getting releases outside of the UK and the Nova Avengers was my first purchase of a steelbook from a non UK retailer, ( excluding eBay). I've got to say, I've got the bug for these premium editions now and the wife had banned me ordering for now! Good thing she doesn't know what a group buy is!!! [emoji38][emoji38]

Likely sit down too if you view the price of the 'ammo box'

Actually, Film Arena are, for me, setting the pace, with their great attention to detail and quality, and the prices go from really quite cheap to reasonable - Nova and Kimchi generally fall into the same category, especially if you can buy direct and cut out the gb costs.

Thing is though, unless the chinese duo: HDZ and Blufans review their pricing policies they are really likely to price themselves out of the market for all but the most dedicated or suggestible with pockets which are far too deep - $53 (£35) for the basic 1/4 slip of a back catalogue film is utterly outrageous no matter what anyone says.

You won't be disappointed by Nova. Their exclusives are as good as any - their recent John Wick was amazing.

Yep gotta agree with all of that especially BF becoming far too greedy. The ultimate Guardians Gb price on the other site is over $70 already and GB's here are always more so expect a price around the £55 mark with all costs. That's hilarious for a steelbook.

Novas slips as far as I'm concerned are vastly better put together than Blufans, with better card and finish. The slips so far from Filmarena are also better than Blufans being of a similar quality to Nova

Blufans have gone for Marvel because they sell well, but unfortunately they promised a lot and didn't deliver the promised full gloss steels. Some of the lentis are just plain poor on this Marvel line. They should have been the best editions but they failed.

Blufans days as the best are over, although their fanboys will defend them to death, but really no one listens to fanboys opinions on anything anyway lol.

For anyone being open minded and even remotely sensible, it is impossible to disagree. I feel Blufans started their slide when Thor ended up as a matt finish, and things don't seem to have recovered from that point.
I also feel HDZ are shooting themselves in the foot as well - after the fiasco that was the Gladiator release one hoped for a rethink from them - what do we get -- a back catalogue film with art that's been used previously which costs £35 in 1/4 slip Steel! - and then you have gb costs on top - for a film that costs £11 in two disc amaray from Amazon! I won't even go into the madness of the 'ammo box'!

What is even worse is that people defend it, and don't even believe they are being taken for a ride.
Yet if Zavvi did that (and everyone knows I'm not their staunchest defender) then the fanboys would shout to the rooftops about their disreputable behaviour and cashing in etc - but this is HDZ and like Blufans seem, in some circles to be like the sacred cows of the steelbook business.

I honestly feel that if Nova and FilmArena keep close control over their pricing and overall quality then they will come to dominate, with the others playing catch-up.

not sure why the ammo box costs alot does it include ammunition as well as the steelbooks ?

I think with their not allowing group buys, their poorly run website with crashes and all, their non-existent customer service, their inaccurate listings, etc. that it is high time we ALL boycott them so they will disappear as fast as they came and then Kimchidvd will reign supreme with the best offerings and great support by Tony!!!

Gotta agree with this. Try saying this on BR forum and I am sure members there will bring all there swords out. It is really sad when fanboys persist on trying to defend the indefensible and this is how some of this retailers are thriving specially BF and HDZ.

I think we collectors have given too much free hand to both HDZ and Blufans. I am already done with HDZ and just waiting for BF to complete Marvel line and I will be out of that camp too.

Also wanna add that Nova has been where bad with handling there website but once you get the package in hand you just feel happy for the money you paid but with BF the feeling has been inconsistent.

I know I am not on front line dealing with studios but lately I it really pisses me of when BF shifts all the blame on studio. I get it if they were not able to the art approved but why can't they get glossy. Nova got away with gloss Avengers so why not BF captain america.

I have been a loyal BF fan but very frustrated now. Sorry guys!!!

Don't know much about BluFans, on another place i just said something about artwork being crap (it was BluFans steelbook) thats when the swords came out. Novamedia sure servers aren't great but its a start hopefully in the future they have better servers but they do have nice looking steelbooks packages and there customer service is pretty great plus steelbooks come out as planned .....

Just wondering if anyone has ever had their order from NovaMedia or any Korean company lost and how they dealt with it?

I ordered The Grey slipcover and John Wick lenticular both the second preorders for John Wick went live. Mine shipped almost immediately and it has never arrived. Tracking shows it keeps trying to go to the wrong address even though myself and Nova confirmed the address I gave them is correct and that's where they shipped to. It's been circling the U.S. for over a month now, bouncing back and forth to wrong locations and being forwarded everywhere but here.

I have contacted Nova several times and they have been no help and have the worst communication and support ever. They basically told me it wasn't their fault, that they won't refund me, not even for shipping and if I want to try to get any money back, to ask the USPS. I spoke with USPS who told me there is nothing they can do because of the cheap service Nova used to ship the order and I would have to contact Korea. They shipped it using a method that USPS said has no insurance and that they are unable to track down. I'm actually a little surprised and offended how careless Nova has been throughout the process, making no effort to help me out whatsoever.

So any suggestions out there? Desperately trying to get my package or my money back, never had this happen to me before. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can help.

Hey @jordanwalkert , sorry to hear that, I'm surprised nova has refused to assist you with this. In that case, your best bet is to file a claim with your credit card company or paypal (depending on how you paid for the order) and supply them with all necessary info etc... Good luck!

I have a package from them that has been sitting in Jamaica NY now since May 7th. I contacted USPS and they told me the same thing they told you. I received three other packages from them recently without a problem but my last package went to the wrong town, had to be sent back to the sort facility and made its way to me. I looked at the shipping label Nova used, and the state was incomplete and the zip code was missing. Also, they are printing the shipping info twice on the label. My shipping information is correct on my account so it seems Nova is making errors on the shipping label which is causing packages to be delayed or possibly lost. Did you ever receive your package?

Exact same thing as me. It did finally arrive, took just over 2 months and went to 26 different wrong towns before finally getting corrected and making its way to me. Address was printed all funky, only had 3 digits for my zip code. I would say that eventually someone at USPS will physically get a hold of it and correct the problem- it may just take awhile for them to do so. Sorry this happened to you as well, best of luck!

yes, when it's a pre order, Nova put "in stock" for a release at a later date untill it's "sold out".

I know that Nova and Kimchi seem to operate similar as they have same format for their rule, but Kimchi does not allow for you to add a
pre-order(in Stock but not Physically) + an item that is Physically In Stock. So was wondering if it would be same with Nova.
