I've unofficially declared war in my office using the Annoy a tron from thinkgeek.com

I got it as a promo gift for free, man it's hilarious. It lets out this high pitched electrical buzz at a random time every 2-7 minutes... People are going, "What IS that?!" It has a magnet on it so I was able to stick it on the underside of a cabinet drawer.. even if they go digging they'll never know it's there.

I'm dying trying not to laugh everytime someone acknowledges it

The best part... it'll last up to 4 weeks.

Just an update, I've now got two co-workers blaming each other's cellphones for the high pitched ringing.. and when it goes off it becomes an instant, "THAT'S NOT ME DAMNIT!" throwdown

I merely raise my head and go, "I don't know guys, but it definitely is coming from over here!"

As soon as I get a clear shot i'm going to move it to another co-workers desk so the sound will have moved :hilarious:

I hinted that it could be their computer monitor starting to fail... they tend to shriek before they die

I've decided that I may end up getting a few more of these when I order again for the holidays...

Seriously guys... this is the most fun I've ever had at work in like.. forever.

:hilarious:

haha...i know what your talking about...

just hang back and don't say anything to them about it,dont even let them find out you set it all up or else they will go along and try prank you..

so you gonna buy more and come to work early...set everyone up when you have a day all? >: D

you would hearing beeping all around the room.

:hilarious: HAHAHAHA, the computer monitor hint is great. Plus if you move it, **** is really gonna hit the fan. I'd be rolling in my cubicle by now!

I am going to get more, there's no way I could go back to a normal office now. I've left the beeping for one complete day, and I was able to move it this morning behind another co-workers phone... it's freaking loud as hell today in the quiet office!!!

Thi is such a great idea im going to try this lol

Have they found the beep yet??

Nope, what's even better is now some people are acting like they don't hear it anymore!!!!

:hilarious:

An interesting side note, some people with hearing problems can't actually pick up the 12khz tone so they are like the black sheep going, "What the hell are you guys on about?"

My office will never be the same!

It's been so hard to not bust out laughing... I've been playing along as best as I can, but when they start having a mental breakdown it's hilarious

"Seriously guys, I cannot take that fu*king noise any longer, what the hell is it?"

The two co-workers who thought it was their cellphones have now instated a cell phone off policy in the vicinity :hilarious:

EDIT:

I think I'm going to turn it off for a couple hours... then start it back up again. So the cell phone off policy *works*

Update:

Just had a co-worker breakdown. I had been playing up the failing monitor gag to her and she was standing behind me when it went off.. she immediately announced, "HA! It's NOT my computer monitor you son's of bitches! It's one of YOUR monitors!"

I just drank a whole 32oz cup of water trying not to explode in laughter.

Gee,Lets see how long it takes before you score a new Computer monitor that you can "repair" and the company gets a new one to get rid of the breaking down noisy one's :p

Scam artist!

Near miss this morning as a matter of fact... I relocated the device to another co-workers desk... just so happened to go off both times I walked by... what are the chances? The co worker said I had some sort of button I must be pushing.. I emptied out my pockets and hung out at their desk until it went off again to cover the clues.

It seems now that most have begun to try and ignore the noise... Although I do hear a lot of loud sighs everytime it goes off :hilarious:

I have a feeling if they don't figure it out, I'm just going to quietly make it disappear... by planting it in someone's office!
