I got my "Dances with Wolves" Steel today and had no problem peeling off the ratings sticker, but I know sometimes there are issues. So I thought I'd add a thread so everyone can post what they use to remove pricing, rating and whatever other stickers from their Steebooks (that is, if you unwrap them, of course).

Enjoy, and thanks for taking the time to post your own tips.

Tried WD40?

Someone recommended it to me on another forum to help remove the price sticker residue left on my Braveheart steel.

Worked a treat for me.

Thank you Maccadeez1989 and jlt12 for the suggestions.

I've tried: tape, butter, olive oil and none of these gave any result. I've heard from several people that WD40 might break down some of the paint from the steelbook so I'd rather not test this.

The area isn't sticky at all, it's as smooth as the rest of the steelbook to the touch but there's clearly something there.

I guess it's just a matter of figuring out which product will remove it without attacking the steelbook paint but I'm yet to find one...
