I've never actually seen this movie... only caught bits when it's been on Film4. I enjoyed the parts I have seen anyway, and it seems to get a lot of praise from people, so will definitely be ordering this.

Spielberg was planing to do it with will smith.

They were going to leave out the incise and octopus eating concept because they felt it was to grotesque for american viewer

(isnt that a hilarious) but the idea became obsolete. Anyway im completely against america destroying this classic with a remake.
