They're usually very good. We ordered some steaks and other stuff from them and as long as you don't mess it up, they taste delicious. They package everything very well too.

I've had them before too, very good. It seems odd getting steaks in the mail, but they are delicious and good cuts too. I've also had hot dogs and maybe some fish(?) from them. Don't worry, youre good to go with Omaha

Oh, and to answer your question --- Yes, they are very good.

Not sure what steak aficionados would say -- but they kick the **** out of anything you could find at the grocery store. I've been meaning to search out a real butcher since I moved here... and this will certainly do.

And that is what I'm aiming for ... I only have 2 options in the town I'm in without driving 55 miles and half the time the meat is just crap. I need something mail-order and good.

I was checking out Schwans.com but they seem good for other stuff. Reviews werent so great in regards to their steaks.

Ah yeah, Bissons is awesome.

They'll cut anything you want to order, they raise the cattle themselves - a complete family run operation.

I'll go there after I run out of my grass fed beef that I get as part of a co-op farm share from another farmer. :eek:

Good to read a couple of people's pov on these steaks. I've been meaning to try these, but the notion of mail order steaks just seems... well, you know, odd. Every time I come across an ad, I'm tempted; than I chicken out. Sigh - maybe next time...

Omaha Steaks has stand alone stores you can visit, they aren't necessarily mail order only. My uncle buys them over mail and gets them delivery on dry ice or something like that.

I am currently going to the Meathouse here in Mission Viejo . Pretty awesome stuff to say the least! Some people tried to argue that Whole Foods has equally good steaks, but Meathouse is easily on a different level. Since I live in Orange County it's the whole organic bs fad around here so yeah Meathouse has grass fed and regular.

being from Omaha I just visit a butcher.

Omaha Steaks do have good meats though. My aunt works for them and gets some free & discounted meats. Usually just hot dogs and burgers for parties & such. I'd recommend ordering from them if you're thinking about it.
