Sweet! I'm so in for this!

Is amazon.jp it's own account or does my regular .com account work?

You can log into any other country's Amazon site with the same ID and password you use for Amazon US. It will recognize you and say "Hello, dfoles" but your Wishlist items and orders will be separate for each site. If I remember correctly, your shipping/billing info transfers over to each country's site, so you won't have to reenter it. LOL - I have buttons set up on my Chrome toolbar so when I'm bored I can go on a tour of Amazons around the world.

Hey fellas, while that may be true for Amazon US/UK/FR and other European Amazon sites, it's different when it comes to Amazon Japan (and China for that matter). You need to create an account, you can use the credentials you already use on your other Amazon accounts but the setup needs to be done from scratch (address, credit card etc...), nothing gets imported as they are not linked.

Setting up an account is easy as they've recently updated the sites to be friendly for English speaking users. On the top of the page, you can click on the "In English" tab and proceed as you would on other Amazon sites and fill your account details.

Happy shopping! :)

I thought there was one Amazon.something that needed it's own account. Either way, I just logged in to Amazon.com/.ca with my account, and was unable to do the same with Amazon.jp
