Continuing its slew of Metal Gear announcements and releases this week, Konami will launch the first Metal Gear Solid on the North American PlayStation Network today. It will cost $9.99 USD.
Remember how it all started? Konami does: ?METAL GEAR SOLID takes place in the southern Alaska region around the Bering Sea. The player takes control of Solid Snake, a retired military soldier who is ordered to infiltrate a nuclear weapons facility to eliminate FOXHOUND, a genetically enhanced Special Forces unit that has threatened to launch its nuclear weapon if the government does not cooperate with their demands.?
Time certainly flies, as the first Metal Gear Solid was released in 1998. After all the sequels, DLC, offshoots, and other PSone Classic releases we?ve been seeing recently, we can only say this is overdue. Welcome back, Snake.
