I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie, it's no masterpiece but I thought it was good old fashioned family fun and I for one can't wait to get this one as looks a real beauty.

This is an enjoyable family film. The 3D in this is top notch. One of the better movies to use 3D effects.

I have to agree the 3D on my BD was awesome, so many have been a letdown recently (Jack the Giant Slayer) but the 3D really rocked with Oz.

+1

My kids really got into it more than any other 3D film we've seen so far. And there were several "whoa" times for me where I backed up and watched again due to the effects.

Same here.

I didn't think the movie was bad at all. Certainly not one of my favorites but by no means bad.

IMO, Disney has never been able to get it right with Oz movies.

Whether that be the "Return to Oz" that had nothing to do with the original or "The Muppets Wizard of Oz" that was more of a slightly vulgar parody of the original or the latest attempt "Oz: The Great and Powerful" which visuals can't hide some of the over performances and under performances of it's leading characters. But while certain things can be pointed to as reason for reticule, it really comes down to these sequels, prequels, or adaptions being compared to the original which is viewed by many as arguably the greatest movie of all-time. If looking at "Oz: The Great and Powerful" as just a movie, no way do I feel it is bad, but when compared to the original... that's a lot to live up too.

Completely agree, which is surprising because Disney is known for great storytelling!

Morf, only the Blufans site sells them (but they don't ship internationally). But you can try to ship to someone in China if you have a relative or whatever? Good luck!

I have a question about steelbook s from china. I have family leave ther so they should get them cheaper then 30-40 £ I'm right? ?

Blufans exclusive releases are not available at any retail stores in China, only at their site. And you won't get so much cheaper even asking family or friends in China to source for you. and the biggest question is who would you trust the most to handle your precious steelbooks? ;)
