To be honest, I'm growing a bit weary and disappointed to the lack of respect shown to the human characters played in these movies that we love.

Both Rush and Pacific Rim are shaping up to be human-less. What the hell is going on.

Pacific Rim has lots and lots of characters in it, but in 4 opportunities for artwork (front, back, inside, slip) all this Blufans steelbook shows is the robots and monsters.

Here is (and always was.. page 5 of this thread) my choice for inside art.

Also, I'd just like to say that I NEVER saw these mockups from GT. Not big on that back cover #2, but front cover of the 3 of them standing below Gypsy is amazing and I wish that was the slip or the front or the back or something. What a great representation of this movie. I have been looking forward to this release as much as anyone, but I gotta be honest, I'm a little disappointed in a few aspects of it.

I'd like to see something like these...

It's beautiful Now if Blufans just makes sure that the finish is right, this will be the greatest Pacific Rim steelbook.

And jimmyv, I can see your point with Rush (I already stated my piece in there, I agree with you fully), but Pacific Rim is all about the jaegers vs. the kaiju. The plot was so dull that I don't see any reason that we would need the human characters on this steelbook.

Early June was the last I heard, but I don't know if it's been pushed back or if early June is still a viable timeframe.
