Wow I guess I should consider myself lucky. I went to Amazon a couple nights ago on a complete whim to order a few Steelbooks (Just starting to really prefer them & starting to collect) & being Australian, Striker on the front of the steelbook had me pre-order immediately and now it's not up :O

I love the Artwork for Pacific Rim in general, so I probably would have bought no matter which Jaeger (Or Kaiju) was on the front!

Amazon lists this as a 3 disc. Any truth in that? The top states ultraviolet not digicopy. They might as well have include the DVD disc.

Zavvi are listing it as three discs too. The standard 2D Blu-ray is listed as two discs on Amazon, so maybe the bonus content is on a separate disc?

I'd agree with that, amazon are listing a lot of extras so you would think it would be on a separate disc.

The US set is 4 discs for 3D. Two BDs for the flick in 2D and 3D and bonus BD and DVD.

However DVDactive article only has a few extras listed as follows for US:

I'm not sure whether to keep this pre-order...as someone who doesn't have time for 3D at home (and doesn't have the glasses), does anyone know of any plans for a 2D special edition (not necessarily steelbook)?

Went with the 19.99 Sainsburys pre order. If amazon get more in stock, I will cancel and buy from them, as the packaging is better.

On the plus side, sainsburys have great customer surface, should the poop hit the fan (damaged in transit)

Ordered from base - not keen on the big 3D either but missed this at the cinema and would've shelled out £20 for two tickets so a no brainier for me as I'm fairly sure I'm gonna love it

Seems similar to the low stock issue with Life of Pi's 3D steelbook. But it will go back in stock, even if only in small quantities.
