Looks like im rolling the dice with this one.

Due to size and shape this cant be gift wrapped? It can't be bigger than the Dark Knight Rises box which I ordered girft wrapping for

The problem seems to be that Amazon JP do not allow the gift wrapping option to be added after the order has been placed for items that are OOS. This happened with my Skyfall and Ironsky order.

I don't really plan on adding anything to the order, so I might still follow Darczap's suggestion of contacting them to ask if they can specifically pack it in a box with extra padding.

Having gotten my FutureShop edition today (thanks Drum), I'm a lot closer to cancelling. It's not a bad steel, but considering the lackluster matte, no embossing, and general cheap feeling that I've gotten only from the BBY bargain-priced steels, I was hoping for a bit more. No complaints about the artwork though, as both the outer and inner arts are awesome, but this JP edition will need embossing and gloss to catch my attention.

If you leave your order as is it will be shipped in a box. The whole point of adding the gift option is so that they will put the steelbook in a large box. It won't be padded, and I doubt they will customise for each order, but the steelbook is shrinkwrapped to a cardboard sheet and that is glued to the base of the box. Unless they shrinkwrap it badly to the cardboard its not going to move and the steelbook should arrive in undamaged condition.

I've been contacting them couple of times about changing from normal packaging to gift wrapped, conclusion they couldn't do that for me... I don't know someone else would be able to change this...

(hope this isn't too off topic for this thread) So Amazon JP does ship in a box to international? I wanted the gift wrap cause I heard otherwise they ship you your order in a jiffy envelope. Sorry never ordered from Amazon JP before so I don't know any better haha just want to make sure my order has a good chance to arrive safely to me in Canada
