Amazon.jp said it's 4000 print run. wow incredibles ...only few hours sold out and

Now auction list pacific rim steelbook as 200$ for buy it now price.

there is no way it sold out that fast. the price is too high. not enough people would have been able to afford to stash multiple copies. it will be back in stock.

If it had indeed gone live and sold out, I can guarantee there would have been on on eBay. And so far, there hasn't been.

It did go live and did sell out. You won't see it much on eBay because pretty much only Japanese traders got hold of it and they don't use eBay that much. If you look on Yahoo Auctions though, you immediately find over 20 auctions for it, all for about the £160-200 mark.

Like others, I do find it hard to believe they shifted the entire run though. I've been buying Japanese steels for a long time and I've never seen a qty of 4k sell out in less than a day. Hopefully they'll list the remaining stock at some point.

I think Amazon.jp has achieved the intended, cause a panic among collectors, which in turns will cause a huge demand for it, then re-list it and voila every sucker out there including myself will bite the bullet, mind games I tell ya lol

If you are right, that is very bad of Amazon to allow this. Did anyone from HDN even get to order this? If so, how many people... a few? That's ridiculous. That means a select few in Japan ordered gobs and gobs of these to sell them out. I HATE that. I truly hope it's not sold out yet. I don't have a problem with collectors ordering several. I do that myself. Many of us do. But in order to sell out 4K this quickly, someone with some serious coin did some serious investing and ordered waaaaay more than just a few. That is not right for limited collector's editions. There needs to be a cap.

It is very strange....even the Future Shop one went out of stock fairly quickly and hasn't been restocked in close to 2 weeks.....

There are a few customer comments on Amazon Japan saying the same thing. So even Japanese collectors are angry they didn't get a chance at it. I'm sure Amazon will be getting a lot of complaints about it at the moment.

I received an e-mail from Amazon JP saying to sign up so they can let me know when the pre-order is open. Congrats to those that got it, if sold out. I guess if you snooze you lose....:hilarious:

The only way I really see this as being sold out is if they didn't quantity lock it to one per account as they typically do.
I saw it active, but was at work and thought I would grab one when I got home.

I am hoping that they simply pulled it for some reason to straighten something out and were not actually ready to let it go live and we'll see it again.

By the way, for those asking if I can get them one (many PMs so far!), it's doubtful as I haven't even gotten my own yet.
