To those of you who think that because this steelbook is matte finish and therefore all dull, you may have gotten the wrong idea.

Matte finish with metallic shine is such that various parts of the artwork will give off a nice sheen when the steelbook is held at varying angles to the light. In this case, the rotor blades at the bottom, the helmet rim at the neckline, the orange eye area and the flames behind will all glimmer at varying degree of intensity when you play the reflection of light off the steelbook. That to me makes a matte finish much more interesting and lasting to look at than a gloss finish.

I hope this series of picture can give you an idea of what I mean:

I for one am very pleased with how it turned out to be, the colors are more vivid than my FS one (based on the pics), probably due to a higher-res. Should be getting my hands on mine later today

Seeing this costs $80-82 CDN, I'm happy with my FS steel ($28) which has same artwork, finish and don't care about the extra goodies.

I don't think you understand how color manipulations work if you think those photos the user posted were manipulated.

Having compared this with the FS version, I can say now the difference is not as great as I thought. The print resolution looks the same to me. The Japanese version looks better and seems to have more detail because it has better contrast. And also the metallic parts shine through just like Real Steel said, whereas the FS version remains dull throughout.

I am a bit dissapointed about this, all the hype for just two stickers,no nice booklet attached to the back like jaws or ET...
