Guys, something weird has happened :droid:.

I haven't seen the film, but I think that in it Jean-Baptiste Grenouille has a thing for killing redheads, right?

Well, I was opening my lenticular edition, and while I was removing the numbered card, something caught my eye (next to the "P") :

Yes, that is hair, and before you ask, no, it's not mine, that's not my hair color at all and there's no way anyone else's hair could have gotten on that card between the moment I unwrapped it and the moment I noticed that.

So I'm thinking: is Kimchi including another goodie with the hair of a redhead beauty on the numbered card? How thoughtful :D.

I'm doing my best not to think that it's a pube from a sweaty Korean guy packing these things in the Kimchi warehouse :D.

I just saw a box from Kimchi at 6am this morning so I'm pretty sure it came yesterday and I didn't see it! Anyways as you guys already know the full slip looks amazing, really happy with the purchase, now to watch the movie!!

Are you coughing pubes? I'm sorry :D.

It must be from Scott Tenorman.

If it weren't for my friend Google, I wouldn't have understood that reference :bag: (I don't watch South Park).

For some reason I thought you were referring to Comedy Bang Bang, an excellent parody of a talk show where at the beginning of each episode they fail to properly write the name of the host (Scott Aukerman) when he introduces himself, like that :

(Comedy Bang Bang is way more obscure than South Park, but that's my jam :vulcan:).

Anyway, about the pube glowing hair, I decided to make perfume with it too. :headphone:

Frankly, I'm underwhelmed by the steelbook cover, even though I already knew what to expect. The cover's red and white reminds me of Black Swan, which I am bringing out here to demonstrate the two different finishes.

Perfume is a smooth full gloss finish, which most people like. Whatever angle you hold it under the light, the surface will look evenly same throughout.

Black Swan is matte finish but with metallic shine to its two shades of red. You will see a varying metallic sheen and the actual brushed steel surface when playing it against the light. It is why I invariably prefer metallic finish as you could really see the shine of the actual steel surface, versus gloss finish which would look the same whether printed on cardboard or steel.

Most of the early Canadian releases like Troy and Departed are metallic finish. I wished more steelbooks were the same. I couldn't help but think how nice it would be if either the red hair or the white dress and the rose petals of the Perfume cover were finished in metallic shine instead.

Close-up of Black Swan's visible brushed steel surface finish (would have been clearer if the plastic wrap had been removed):

Close-up of Perfume's gloss finish - couldn't get any further shine from the red even with the light directly on top of it:

Just received my lenticular of this and I must say it's fantastic. Can't wait to open it all up :) Nice pics everyone!

My very first foray into Kimchi buying was collected from the post office yesterday - we were out and it wouldn't go though the letterbox.

Happily undamaged, love the glittery slipcover - didn't expect that one. Number 0641/1500. Still packed up.

Very pleased - wish I'd bought Amelie now :)
