First forum post (ever).

I've viewed the various threads for a while and thought it was about time I shared the love for all things Plain!

- What's your PLAINiversary - The date of your first purchase from PLAIN

11th March, 2014 - The Wrestler Steelbook, 1/4 Slip.

- What Films Should PLAIN ARCHIVE do next?
A couple of smaller movies I recently watched & loved - Coherence (2013) & X+Y (2014- starring Asa Butterfield).
It Follows (2014), The Voices (2014).
And the following older movies which they'll never release versions of (but a bloke can dream) : Korean movies - Save The Green Planet (2003) & Antarctic Journal (2005). The Silence Of The Lambs, John Carpenters They Live, John Carpenters The Thing & The Double Life of Veronique (1991).

- Your Latest PLAIN ARCHIVE edition?
The Master (UE6 edition) - 1000th Blu-ray purchased.

-Favourite Edition?

Dear Holy Motors fans

It is with deep sadness that we inform the release cancellation of Holy Motors.

One of the Korean government agencies, the Korea Media Rating Board found one of the scenes problematic in which Denis Lavant reveals his penis.

This led to the theatrical release of Holy Motors in Korea with a blur effect.

Requests were made to the Board for reexamination, but they wouldn’t change their initial decision.

Long story short, we’d have to blur the part in question to release the Blu-ray. It is our strong belief that it’s better not to release the Blu-ray altogether if it’s going to feature absurd censorship.

Our apologies for those who have been waiting for this release. We were looking forward to the release as well, but a great film like Holy Motors should be viewed the way the filmmakers intended.

Sincerely
PLAIN ARCHIVE

Hmm.

Strange policies if you look at the symbolism in Oldboy and other Korean movies.

Guess nudity weighs more than violence, knife stabbing, multiple murders, torture, incest, bloodinfested scenes and psychological cruelty.

Strange.
