I didn't like "Cars". I even more didn't like "Cars 2". So, I guess, I will hate "Planes". But nevertheless, I have to see it first to make up my opinion. It's just disappointing that this movie is put in the "Disney Collection" line, as it's no Animated classic at all, just a cheap looking-for-money production. The place this flick wastes, could have been used for "Fantasia 2000" instead, to match the release of the predecessor, just like all three "Toy Story" flicks are released in the Pixar line.

This was not a 'hit' movie, it did not do well at the box office compared to other similar animation movies like Cars etc.

Also, this is way overpriced and comes with no digital copy as i understand.

No wonder interest has waned, I have no interest, but may add to my collection if it comes down below £14.99 maybe....;)

Cancelled this as they moved the date forward a week which conflicts with far too many ive had to budget for anways. Zavvi are pissing me off keep changing dates.

They also changed wreck it ralph to mid january, so now the other disneys are all out in 1 week timeframe :(

$50m budget.
Over $200m box office. It was an absolute success. However, the movie was still disappointing.

You can't compare it to Cars etc as they have quadruple budgets to work with.

If Cars cost $200m, then it would need to make $800m to be as successful as Planes.

So when you look at it this way, Planes was waaaay more successful than Cars 1 and 2.
