i'm very disappointed with this choice. well, maybe i had just the wrong expectations like many others, that this series would only include disney classic movies.
artwork looks very good though, but i guess i will still save my money for the other forthcoming disney essentials and not order this one (unless there's a useful discount code in the near future that brings it down to below 24€. ;) ).

Wow, I really wasn't expecting this. A mediocre Pixar spinoff not by Pixar that was supposed to be straight-to-video until Disney decided they needed more money. Great choice!

How many times? It is not Zavvi who make this decision, it is Disney. They have a past history of excluding just about everything for UK releases.

Plenty of recent Disney films have had 3D amaray versions in the UK (Tangled, Brave, Finding Nemo, Lion King, Monsters Inc and Monsters University is forthcoming) so how is Disney responsible for this steelbook not having 3D?

If Zavvi are doing an exclusive steelbook then I'm sure they could choose between having 3D copies included or not. Case in point is Monsters University which is getting a 3D version in the UK - so why does the Zavvi exclusive not have 3D? Claiming Disney are somehow withholding the disc seems unrealistic when it is freely available in the UK in other versions.

You only have to look at the fact that smaller sites worldwide can get lovely 3D steelbooks signed off by Disney to see that, with some effort by the retailer, all extras and features can be included.

End of the day it is cheaper for Zavvi not to include an additional disc, that is obvious, so they can have a high price with minimum outlay to get maximum profit. That's their call and people are free not to pay if they care that much.

I personally don't care for 3D, so it doesn't bother me either way. This film is one of Disney's, ahem, misfires - so I'll be giving it a wide berth.

is this a joke, how does this qualify as being in a disney collection, this is just a disney toon for little kids.

They should keep releaseing CLASSICS, VERY Disappointed !

edit

I have 1,2 and 3, WIR preordered, i actually dont want this but then my coll. will be incomplete...

Disney have never released a 3D Steelbook in the UK to my knowledge and they were releasing Steelbooks long before Zavvi got in on the act. Of course you could blame every UK retailer for a lack of effort or just accept the fact that Disney have a strange aversion to 3D Steelbooks in the UK.

I don't personally have any interest in these Disney titles. Can't help but notice the prices though, and if you threw in 3D to the mix they'd probably price themselves out of the market. Probably the reason they keep to 2D steelbooks.

This has to have a glossy finish. The artwork would look superb just like the blufans Up steelbook and then they'd have my money.

If its lacklustre like Mermaid then they aint having £22.99 off me.
