I would have taken you up on that had I not ordered the basic steelbook last night.

I was gutted when the XL sizes were announced with Covenant already out (I'm a real stickler for consistency), so I've decided just to go for the bare nekkid steelbooks for the Alien series - UNLESS Manta get their act together some time this century!

Yes, thats exactly how it will work. After GB is closed we will compile a list of members and send them PM to see if they are interested in UHD discs. Those who will be will get invoiced via PM.

WOW, just WOW! I don’t care what the FAC haters say, yes I’m a fan, but I don’t hold back on the criticism either, but FA without a shadow of a doubt do the best overall WEA steelbooks hands down,

Their finishes and artwork choices are top notch. Well done FA.... not so well done on that giving us regular slips over XLs for this franchise, that’s going to grate me!

They have improved but Blufans WEA steelbooks are world class, especially looking at all the Marvel titles. I guess everyone has there favorites. I will say the last few WEA FAC steels were very well done BR 2049, Logan, Spider-Man HC but they don't put out as many as Blufans or Kimchi, Novamedia, and others. There bread and butter are still full slipcases with extras. The Lenti's are getting much better but still are a notch below the big boys. I'm a FAC fan and own a ton. The Full Slips for all the Jurassic Parks, Elektra, Maze Runner, and others are top notch. I can't say for sure if I like the new XL's. I've only gotten 1 so far MR Death Cure, my 2 XL BR 2049 E1 and E'3s should be here any day from Karel. Maybe one day they will hang with Blufans WEA steels but not quite yet

I don’t deny that Blufans are world class, they are, their marvel line is superb, but i was more talking about the steelbooks themselves. Yes Blufans and everyone else have pumped out more WEAs that FA, but I was more referring to the finishes, and to be honest, although Blufans are great and the artworks are good, they have been lazy with the bossing of late. A lot of their recent rekeases are just gloss and title bossing, no unique bossing like they used to.

I think FA’s WEAs have been phenomenal lately. Spider-Man, Logan, BR 2049, and even Alien Covenant were all beautiful highly glossed steelbooks with amazing embossing. That’s why I had to spring for Prometheus even if Manta’s ends up amazing it may be a while and FA’s doing such a good job that their WEA will be one of the jewels of my collection.

They’re catching up to Blufans for sure and offer different movie choices from them (for the most part).
