It's a linen spot gloss finish. Dunno why they went with it but it's not horrible. Eager to see the detail on the embossed version, though!

OK, lol at first I read it as "Alien spot gloss finish" Well I don´t think it´s horrible either, but it´s also not impressive

I believe the "XL complaints" are mostly focused in the FAC series where continuity in slip case sizes is lost, e.g., Maze Runner, Alien.

No I get that part, but still some complain about the slimmer slip to be of better Quality which is non sense to me. Whatever size it will be, they still can do the finish they want on them.

Looking back through my collection the finish and especially the embossing is better done on a lot of the standard size slips in comparison

I only have 7 XL Slips editions so far and they lack to me the quality of the standard slips

I understand the need for the collectors folder as some releases it was a tight fit to put cards inside the steelbooks
I would have liked the collectors folder separate from the slips so they could have kept the standard size slips

I mean they are doing this hugely to stop having the bonus items that do not fit inside the slip and had to come separately,
now stating that would prefer the collector Folder to come OUTSIDE the SLIP ? WTF ?

Slimmer Slips have nothing to do with better Quality. BR 2049 E3, Baby Driver etc... they can do premium finishs on anything they want.
Different Finishes to me are welcome, more diversity.

Look at your collection closely of FAC Standard Full Slips and XL Slips compare the finish and embossing
There is a big difference between some of the standard full slips and XL Slips
Some minor difference and some huge difference

Of the 7 Xl Slips I have in my collection the finish and embossing is better on a good few of the standard slips in comparison so far

That's not to say we will not get later XL Slips that will have better finish/embossing as the standard slips but so far of the XL slips I have got they are not as good as the Standard Slips

Blade Runner 2049 XL slip are good out of the 7 Xl Slip I have but they could have been even better

Disappointed by that finish! If not for the size, I was hoping the E1 would have at least the same type of finish as the E1 of Covenant.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think the E1 slip looks great.

LOve Very much as well E1, it looks like it's gonna have a nice texture. Can't wait to see what the Collector Folder will look like.
From what the Beautyshots show, each edition will have a different Artwork for the Collector Folder, that is Super Cool

Got my E3 directly from FA. I had all versions added to my order but only wanted E3 so emailed them to change it which they did without issue. Very good service.

Umm...This is a WEA steelbook. And delays are par for the course for most premium retailers. (Not as bad as it used to be, but still pretty commonplace).

But still many of them was delayed.
