Prometheus was an excellent film, kind of wish the very ending didn’t happen as it was great until that point, but I still think it was a lot better than what all the naysayers said about it.

Covenant- well, I have to admit, it wasn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be I believe, but it wasn’t great either sadly - completely ruined David’s character and that line he said, you know the one, makes me wonder what the writers were smoking!

Yeah, Sadly this is a perfect example of why directors should never listen to public opinion. Despite the opinions of cinema trolls, Prometheus was excellent- and he was on an interesting track, until he allowed public opinion to sway him. The failure of Covenant rests squarely on the morons who whined about Prometheus.

To me Prometheus was Brilliant. It is one of my Favorite Sci-fi movie. I was really bumbed out when I watched covenant and it wasn't a continuation of Prometheus.
I mean at the end of the movie, all I could not wait to see is what will happen when Dr. Shaw will land on the engineered's Planet.

There is an interview with Ridley, where he says that completely changed his path on Covenant (regarding the continuation of the story from Prometheus) because of what online whiners had said. He caved. And that is just sad. We ALL wanted the continuation of that story proper.
(Not some 60 second flashback).

Yep, that part really made me angry. I loved both movies and it feels there should be more between them. I think that the mojority of us waited to see the "engineers" but we were lef to hang dry

Got my E1 and E5(B) copies today:



Let me tell you, E1 is probably the heaviest premium I own.
It looks quite nice in hand. Still, it's a shame Filmarena only decided to do those "classic" slips starting with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Would have liked a consistent line up in the Alien franchise, too.
