I like both although at times the glossy finish is a nightmare to take care of (ie. Avengers steelbook).

That;'s because the whole Steelbook is almost black.

Matte finish sucks and gives a cheap look. Also prone to paint chips on the corners.

So for an extra £6 over the standard edition (give or take) we get the cheapest looking steelbook possible. This image was begging to be glossy, but now it just looks flat.

It contains the collector's edition which includes a 3D disc, so it's £3 more.
I have a feeling the Play version is a 3 Disc set

From what's been posted I believe the extras will be on the 2d disc.

Ok because the swedish 2D version I got has minimum extras... Was done with them after 40 minutes...

Sorry, I meant the standard 3D version (non steelbook). It's £18 at Sainsbury's Ent. The steelbook edition has the same discs just that we're paying £6 more for the case, so I expected a better more 'premium' finish personally.

You're welcome. Yes it's 3 Blu-rays, it's basically the collector's edition in a steelbook

Sainsbury's seem to be the best value at the moment for a lot of Blu-rays. The Dark Knight Rises cowl is £39.99 there, £10 cheaper than Play. Still Amazon USA is still cheaper than both of them
