£24 & OOS within 3 weeks of release is excellent for a 8k run.
price seemed excessive to some, but as a highly anticipated major new release, in stunning 3D & with hours of bonus content, the price proved ok - the majority of people are willing to pay a little more when its a high quality package overall. Well done Play.com

Question to those 3D owners.... is this film any good as 3D? After watching it a few times now in 2D I don't get the feeling it would be of been worth seeing it in 3D. Nothing beats Avatar for quality + feel in 3D so far! (the layers of detail etc)

I didn't find it all that great on 3d to be honest i know some did though, another annoying thing is it has the black bars which take up a lot of the screen maybe that's why it didn't look too good, titanic looked much better in my opinion and that's a conversion.

This is a good movie but you shouldn't expect it to be like the Alien-movies.

Play finally processed my return today (8 days later!) but can't send me an undamaged replacement because it's now out of stock. I'm not sure what to make of this customer service. :/

really annoying as you buy the steel because you want it and then if u get a damaged one and its out of stock your snookered!!! you would think play would keep some stock back to replace damages.

there are stil some quite cheap ones on e bay at the mo cheapest i,ve seen is around 32.00 with free delivery.

It's strange that all the missing Prometheus SteelBooksare Germany bound. Something is up with German customs/Bundepost.

The trick is to order more than one.

It's highly unlikely that all will be damaged.

There were ppl unhappy in the Watchmen thread who ordered 3 or 4 copies which ALL had large paint chips i think. There where also ppl in the Avengers (hmv) thread who's multiple orders ALL had knife slashes on the spines too.

Plus it's not always possible to buy multiples when there are so many different steels coming out all at once.

I got a note to pick something up as well - thought it was my Watchmen and Hot Fuzz though, but it now sounds as if it might be Prometheus after all. Won't know before Thursday though, stupid opening hours at customs office

I'm gutted.. I sent my original back as it was scratched and then sent the replacement back as it was scratched too.

Looks like eBay or trade is the only way forward.. And this is my favourite movie
