Nearly Finished My Display room. Walls all resurfaced and painted, Nice new carpet and PC desk. Will need to get another book case and more stands, but I am really pleased with the result so far as I have done it myself What do you think

The Other Wall

I have another book case coming that I will half along its length and put each half in the end space of the main wall making it wall to wall. That should give room for 30 or so more. I am also planning on another for behind the door so there's plenty of room yet. I am also looking at some led lighting to highlight the steels but still working that out. I am going to use the wall space above the PC desk for some framed stuff using some of the cards from the steels and also some floating shelves on the wall between the door and the main display shelf for some feature stuff. That will all be next but will have to save up some more again. So what do you thing any suggestions would be welcome especially on placement as that's been a huge headache.

Finally got round to updating the pictures. More shelving is up and the end sections on the main wall finished. I am sure you guy's will let me know what you think

So many things to comment on... where to begin:

Loving the Batman poster.
Loving the white UK wave sitting together.
The Iron Man Mark VII looks great with the IM collection
Really nifty how you bought two Transformers steel's and put them like that together, really cool.
Thor section looks really cool with the helm set and the hammer
I love that Terminator Salvation Skull set. I really wish I knew about its existance when it came out or I would have gotten it. Or the steelbook for that matter.
Man those Lord of the Rings steels sitting there together like that look nice! Hmmm.... maybe I should get a set, lol.
I never should have sold Cowboys & Aliens UK steel... what a mistake!
Your Tron section looks cool. Always admired Tron stuff for how "cool" it looks
And Im totally jealous of your setup If that was my room I would never leave!

Thats it for now guys but as always more due in so when the walls are filled I will need to be more selective on whats on show & what will be stacked spine out.

Any suggestions on grouping are welcome so feel free to suggest your thoughts. If I think it would be better that way I will change it.

Looks amazing Paul. Really like the floating effect on the ones hanging from the wall. Honestly Im sure you spent a good while setting them up like that but since you asked for feedback... here some feedback for the sake of feedback on the groupings...


For groupings I really think you nailed it for the most part. The ones that I might change are...

-Django Unchained could probably sit with its other Tarentino friends instead of with the Robin Hood crew.

-And if you wanted to in the future you could probably move Robin Hood, Highlander, Braveheart, etc. crew over to the wall along with Gladiator, 300, Immortals, etc. This way you could expand your Lord of the Rings collection as more movies come out after the Hobbit along with the other LOTR steels in the back in that section.

-Somehow the Zombieland, 2012, Wolfman section doesn't seem to fit together...

-ZD30, Hurt Locker, BHD, SPR, Tears of the Sun, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket together.

-Eastern Promises, The Departed, Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, Public Enemies, lawless, the untouchables, Heat and The Town together to form more of a "gangster collection"

-Hellboy 1, Hancock, V for Vendetta, Judge Dredd, the crow, blade, riddick, pitch black (vertical ones), red, together fit in better as "comic book/ superhero'ish" steels together since all the other areas with these steels are perfect as is and these ones are kind of the single ones out.

-Total Recall, Eagle Eye, Minority Report, Looper, Matrix, Halo, adjustment bureau, equilibrium, chronicle, mib trilogy, ghost busters, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, skyline, district 9, war of the worlds, robocop, together for a "sci-fi" section.

-Tropic thunder, hangover, hot fuzz, shaun of the dead, paul, ted as "comedy" section together.

-Green Zone, salt, golden eye, skyfall, casino royale, safe house, taken, taken 2, man on fire, argo as a "espionage" section together.

-Collateral, edge of darkness, american history x, warrior, fight club, shutter island, shawshank redemption, the girl with the dragon tattoo, gran torino, drive, silence of the lambs as more of a "drama" section together.

-"action" section together with The A-Team, Shooter, Top Gun, Bad Boys, Knight & Day, The Rock, Armageddon, Die Hard, The Raid, shoot em up, dusk till dawn, faster, the mechanic, transporter 3, the bank job, unstoppable, battleship, boondock saints.

Django is just a place holder where it is jst now as is Zombieland ect.. & I fully plan to get all the LOR & Hobbits up under gladiator ect. I just need to wait till the ones I need to move forward with are available but thanks for the comments, they have confirmed the general direction I was looking towards.

The Stark Plaque was a gift from my brother he picked it up in April when in New York & gave it to me for my birthday. I love it and could kill him as I will have to get the rest now myself
