To be fair, the gloss looks way better than the previous photos have shown off, and the black is a nice shade. The front is a bit boring but it's not bad, much better than ID4.

You HAVE to choose your language in the welcome screen otherwise no option to change once you get to the main screen. I've tested it and it does play in Spanish language etc

This is one of the weaker 80s actioner in my opinion....artwork looks so dull in my opinion and knowing its studio canal release....u are almst guaranteed its gonna cheap matte finish...expect paint chips...end of watch and rampart had plenty.

Looks great iah, even though I have the boxset I will preorder when it becomes available again, diggin' the simplicity of the front cover and the inclusive of the Bowie knife, had enuff of actor faces as cover artworks, it's way overused & overrated :), something unique to the film goes well on the front cover, now make it embossed/debossed & voila we have a perfect looking steelbook worthy of displaying on the shelf next to Rambo DE :naughty:

Woops, missed that with all my excitement upon seeing this, haha. Cheers man.

So they only open up to buy for a short time then lock it again? That's.... different. And annoying. Just gonna have to check constantly throughout today then.

Just chill man, this will go up and will take a while to sell out. Will be at least 4000 copies up for grabs.

Yeah, I know you're right but I had the chance to buy Aladdin Steelbook last month and after adding to shopping basket and being on "Confirm Order" screen, I decided not to complete order as I had £28 left in bank til I got paid and thought it would leave me too short on cash. Then when I got paid it was Sold Out so am just a bit paranoid!

I can only imagine they are doing something really special with this. The price £19.99 vs £14.99 for Kill Bill 1 & 2 does not add up. Either way I hope that is not the actual price.

Yeah unlucky on the Aladdin, Do keep on eye on it closer to release date as with all the others theres a very high chance itll show up again for a very limited time. This forum is brilliant in that if you keep an eye on it sometimes you get lucky.

So, who was able to place the order? I have been trying since last night, unable to see anything else other than "Sold out". Little bit annoying for sure.

I thik they were just testing last night so a few people managed to put an order in. Normally with Zavvi things set live on a Saturday evening or Sunday which has been the trend lately wont be long though.

Eeeeek just checking over my preorders and blimey theres 27 of them. Might only be getting 2 holidays this year at this rate. Zavvi are pushing them out thick and fast. I have had to make a document list of all my preorders so I can easily see whats going on, if the Mrs sees this its all over.

I'm guessing this is not a new transfer? I'm passing if that is the case, especially at this price and the fact you can pick up the amaray for £5. I also think the front cover is a bit ugly.

This looks amazing, i don't understand why people are moaning about the price?
Yes £20 is a lot, but there's free delivery and no customs/charges etc so relax guys!
Ps, £14.99 would make it a lot sweeter though!!!

Need a proper 4k re-do and boatloads of extras first before I think of it being a Steelbook. The current UK and US BDs are both transvesties for a film of this stature.

You said it yourself though, £20 is to much. Personally I think even £15 is being cheeky for a catalogue title. No reason why it shouldn't be £9.99 like Universals 100th anniversary or £10.99 like Paramounts centenary waves from last year, and those had some nice gloss and embossed finishes.

Andy- I think £20 is a lot but if you got this from abroad, it would cost a lot more and as it's an exclusive, they may want to charge a premium. But yes as many others have said, £20 may be a tad expensive, £12.99 £14.99 may be more appropriate.../.

yep I agree, and if this ends up selling well then I'm sure zavvi won't be afraid to try this again and may even add a few quid if they think they can get away with it, this doesn't look gd for future releases, zavvi obviously thinks if we're desperate enough then we will pay anything as long as it is a premium finish.

I really wish zavvi would return to those play price points but they know people will pay it so there's no motivation for them to price things more 'realistically :(

Little too steep for me with it being a catalogue release. Can see why many ninjas wouldn't think so though, as this could be really nice. Just my personal situation at the moment.
If this had come along before the next ES exclusive had been announced, i may well have been all over it like a tramp on chips. I'll leave it for now though.
