What did you think of it mate, it's one of my favourite Coen films!:)
Ah, I meant to reply to you in the steelbook thread about the fact that I'd watched it... obviously it slipped my mind lol.

But yeah, I really liked it mate... I can see why it's one of your favourites. Was great to see Frances McDormand in her very first film!

I'll definitely be considering picking up the steelbook now, since I can easily see myself rewatching it many times. :)

Glad you liked it mate. I actually liked it more the second time! It's low budget but has great acting. Frances Mcdormand is really good in it! I love the soundtrack aswell. I still haven't got it on Blu-ray so I think I'm also going to pick the Steelbook up.:)

I think the fact it was a low budget film is what made it work so well... it gave it an even "grittier" feel IMO. Yep, the acting was superb from all involved... not surprising that Frances is still being offered great roles to this day. Oh man, the soundtrack was excellent! I'd actually love to own it, so will have to hunt down the vinyl at some point. :hungry:

I agree mate, she is a great Actress. I haven't seen three Billboards yet but I've heard great things about her in that. The soundtrack is awesome, the main theme tune really gets in your head! I don't have it either mate, I need to try and pick it up at some point.:)

Never Take Sweets from a Stranger 1961
This is a Hammer film and all I'll say is that it's a very powerful hard to watch film and is about a child molster. Much like M it's a film way ahead of it's time and just as relevant then as it is now. If you're expecting the usually Hammer fare you going to be very very disappointed. This is as far removed from from normal Hammer films as you can get. I'm amazed it even got made...... I'm not surprised it's never been shown on TV. This is part of the Hammer Criminal Intent box set from Indicator....... First time I'd ever seen this Hammer film. Now I know why......

She's just as good in Three Billboards, as are the rest of the cast to be honest. Haha yeah, it did actually get stuck in my head for a while... not that it's a bad thing though. :D

Really dumb/over-the-top humour, but still manages to be very entertaining.
