If this is like the Basketcase release, these shouldn't sell out immediately. Which is good with all these upcoming releases, I'll have to budget at this rate. This looks great!

I have the German steel and it's a thing of glossy beauty. I already don't like how the spine isn't centered on this UK steel. Artwork is pretty cool though.

The German release looked great with the gloss finish, this looks good but if it's a matte finish I think I would still prefer the German version.

Plus the German release includes the sequel Bride of the Re-Animator as well. Its actually a decent sequel and not cheap to find on its own.

The German steelbook release does not include the extended integral version only the unrated version. Only the German mediabook version has it. So if you are after the integral extended version really there is no choice but to buy the U.K steelbook

I like the idea of having both versions available, but from what I understand the extended integral version only adds some non violent story related scenes that were originally cut by the director, but then forced back only into the R-rated US theatrical release as filler scenes to reach the proper film time left void by all the cuts to the violent scenes. This version sounds a bit sloppy. If anyone has recently viewed both versions and can add a proper review/comparison please do.

After viewing the integral version it consists of the extra footage from the R rated version and a few deleted scenes. It does not make the movie feel uneven as the extra scenes are good stuff.

I was holding off buying the German steel because I knew SS were going to release this title and I was hoping for a SB. I still like the DE but the colours on this are amazing.
