Rec and rec 2 are both region free, Rec has English subs and Audio, Rec 2 only English subs.

Rec 1 is not region free on a ps3. Also you are Region B, and they are Region B .. do you happen to have a region free player Trevor? Curious how you checked these.

Rec 1 no matter what cant get past the menu screen or skip to scene on a ps3 ... Rec 2 played fine and it was 1080p.

I watched Rec 1 fine on a region free insignia.

I'd have to test it again on Region A to see if its fine on a stand alone player but definitely not on ps3. I dont know if a ps3 fatty vs. ps3 slim makes a difference but I could test that as we got a slim in the other room. ( tested on the fatty)
