When/if this is confirmed as a steelbook, the french one will be the one for me. The only choice would be FNAC or the Amazon version (FNAC via movie-style of course)

I had a reply email from mov-style (France) in regard to this, on the 20th Dec and they could not confirm it is a steelbook yet

I don't understand why people are still trying to figure out if this is a steelbook or not? It's already been confirmed by an Amazon rep that they do have a steelbook. Whether you get one or the regular amaray is a chance you'll have to take.

I remember this same thing went down for the French edition of The Thing and so far everybody has gotten a steelbook. If you do get an amaray just send it back and demand you get the steelbook instead.

That's not so simple...
The editor hasn't confirmed it is a steelbook yet, and no listing mentions that at this time. Amazon's data sheet only says "Boitier blu-ray avec fourreau", which means "Blu-ray case with slipcover".

Everything is based on the picture showing a steelbook so far...

Amazon's answer is an automatic e-mail sent to anybody asking for a steelbook. Ask them "Do you have X-men Origins Wolverine in stock as a steelbook ?", and they will answer that they have both in stock, you can receive either an amaray or a steelbook...

FNAC hasn't announced an exclusive release for this title yet.
If they do, I will supply it as usual

But I don't think that any store exclusive will pop up for Resident Evil 5...

The bottom line is that this is around the corner. if its anything like the previous steel with an awesome front, clean back and inside art, this should be the one to get once again from France!
