So you got it today.... you like the MP from the beta or from the real game. Or did you get it more so for co-op with your son?

Yeah, I picked it up today. I'm looking forward to playing it too.
It has an immediate 650 MB update when you put in the game and that's what I've been waiting for, for about 2 hours now. Thanks rez internet.

I like the story, the two player co-op is a huge bonus so Jaden and I can play it together. Plus, I really like MP. Didn't play the beta though.

From what I've already heard, it's looking pretty good. Seems to be a big upgrade from resistance 2. I hope so.

The update is done in a few minutes so I'll be back on here to post my thoughts a little later on.

thats cool. And no, I shouldnt have to google when we're on a discussion forum ;) ie. discuss! :p

I thought about redboxing this to see if I like it better than the beta (which I didnt think was too bad, and I did farily well)

however, I'm not extremely into gaming right now ... and I still got plenty to play , and or some MUST HAVEs coming up.

I definitely will be getting Battlefield 3 (x3! - buying one for wifey and brother in law) and then I may get this ace combat, and I'm gonna try and swing for the Uncharted 3 Collectors Edition which is pretty salty as well.

Games I plan to get this year, but not at release (Deus Ex and Metal Gear Collection)

At some point they were asking for manager's names and all that. I didn't feel like going to see who was acting manager lol

Lol, they don't ask anymore, you should see if yours is still active...

I'm not into gaming either, slowly getting back into it and have a huge backlog... Also have a huge backlog of movies to watch... But I couldn't resist for only $10. Also got Motorstorm Apocalypse.

Sony losing Resistance

The Resistance series looks to be on the back burner, six years after the debut of the first title in the series, Resistance: Fall of Man.

Sony has gone on the record to say there is currently no plans to continue the franchise beyond the last title released.

“The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on but as for the future we have no definitive plans,” Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Online producer Daniel Brooke told OPM.

There have been five Resistance games in total, the last of which was Resistance: Burning Skies for PS Vita. None of the games have particularly set the gaming world on fire, however they did gather somewhat of a loyal following amongst a certain group of fans.

With series creators Insomniac now working on new franchises, it makes sense that the series is laid to rest while Sony concentrates on other franchises and its new IP’s.

Resistance may return one day, although that decision will come down to Sony.

Another sweet collection coming our way this winter — The Resistance Collection.

The Resistance Collection will include all three of the critically acclaimed PS3 Resistance games from Insomniac Games – Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3. You’ll also get extra bonus DLC content for Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 so you can play with all of the best DLC from both games, including the Aftermath Pack and skin bundle from Resistance 2, and both the Brutality and Survival Packs from Resistance 3. For those of you who missed out on Nathan Hale and Joseph Capelli’s battle against the Chimeran invasion, this is a great chance to get all three games for just $39.99 and enjoy the exotic weapons and frenetic multiplayer action the series is known for.
