As I posted in the Cocoon thread, I wish Amazon wouldn't use misleading images on their listings. They make Steelbooks look much more vibrant than they will actually turn out. Just compare the images Amazon and Zavvi have displayed, I think I know which one the finished product will look most similar to:

Amazon:

ah we'll at least Amazon has the best customer service going so anyone who is unhappy with it will be able to return it no problem,

I actually prefer the color on Zavvi's pic? The one on Amazon looks like it's been hideously green-tinted for no apparent reason. Robocop never had that kind of color desaturation effect in the film.

I don't need a remaster really as im happy with my trilogy amaray set. But hey if it really looks that good as it does in the mock ups then it maybe worth a purchase for me :)

New transfer = great.

Packaging = bloody awful. Giant Robocop, pointless sparks, dull colour, poor layout and just for once, would it kill them to use the proper font? The Predator font on the last steelbook was bad enough, but this... If you want to make the design and title as bland and generic as possible, at least wait for the remake where I'm sure it'll be more apropriate.

I knocked this up quickly:

Gloss treatment on the chrome and it would be a classic.

This is how it should be.

Despite the perspective issue, I think this is an improvement over the previous steelbook.
At least robocop isn't wildly missing his target on the back anymore!

Come on, you know that it's just the list price. 22 pounds RRP means about 15 pounds real retail price. Just wait a few days until they adjust the price.

Are those old extras from some previous US release?

[Edit] Just checked. Other than the Q & A, the extras are old Dvd content.

Now that it's been pointed out that robo looks giant it has really put me off this steelbook :hilarious: Prefer the old one a whole lot more.
