I'm not going to bother with this one as I really don't like the cover. If and when they bring out something approaching my mock-up I'll be all over it.

I wouldn't get your hopes up buddy. With the remake coming out, it looks like they're steering away from the original poster art and trying to get it to look similar to the remake art

Not sure whether it's been mentioned in this thread already, but has anyone else noticed that the spine title is the wrong way around?

It really bugs me when studios print spine titles the opposite way for no reason - They stick out like a sore thumb, and makes it look like a printing error! I sincerely hope that this is fixed before release, as there's really no need for a spine title to be the wrong way around!

On a different note, I hope they plan on following this up with Robocop 2 and Robocop 3 - Both remastered. That's the only way that this release can be justified (opposed to a triple film set), and it's clearly just a cash-in because the reboot is coming out shortly

Amazon's price will drop way below that.

Has anyone seen this new remaster? I have the original Steel, so don't want to double-dip unless it's a substantial difference.

Nobody has seen it yet. I would expect check discs to start doing the rounds over the next couple of weeks, so we should hopefully see some screen caps then

The actual steelbook won't have a upside down spine, it's not an issue. The mock up of despicable me 2 had an upside down spine but when released it was the right way.

And the mock up of the French Titanic had an upside down spine and it was released that way.

No trouble for me... I don´t look at spines.
