Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

This is ridiculous...I'm order #117 and I better have the steel version (!) :angry:

Guess this will be a Monday delivery now.

I'm 114 so we should get the same version.

My theory is- 2 separate warehouse pickers have been working. 1 has picked the correct product, the other has just seen 'rush' and sent out!

Thanks for contacting HMV. Please be assured that the bulk of our Rush steelbook orders did go out as planned with steelbooks being received with more orders being processed this coming wek.

However we are receiving reports that some orders were indeed sent incorrectly. We're investigating reports and are aware that you want the steelbook.

This is the most sought after item we've ever had to deal with, and we have been pulling every unit of this back, out of our hmv stores so we can give people exactly what they want. This has led to a slight delay in some orders, but as far as we are aware, all orders for the steelbook have now been dispatched and should be with you shortly.

In the unlikely event you are one of the unlucky rare few who receives the non steelbook version, which we believe may have been sent out on Monday, please then can you let us know the long reference number (pick reference) on the invoice for the item and we'll be able to arrange a replacement or refund in full.

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused and with kind regards,

here in lies the issue-they've pooled these from stores so its unlikely they'll be ocd mint-they'll have sellotaped tags & if in transit-may have dings under the j card. nice to see HMV doing this so everyone can order but it has gone south quickly for a lot of ninjas...
 
I had that exact same e-mail come through an hour ago, my order still hasn't been sent but they're saying more are going out this week so fingers crossed I get a decent steel.
 
I've emailed them and had nothing back and where are those numbers they're requesting can't see them on my account or dispatched email?.
