Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

I'd be interested to hear how the video quality of the UK disc stacks up v the US Universal disc.
Sometimes StudioCanal can be better ('Rampart') and sometimes worse ('The Place Beyond The Pines').

Just been on live chat now with amazon and they wouldn't believe me when I told them of the price drop, so no refund for me.

I'm sure you'll be automatically refunded if it is a pre-order. If they don't refund, just send them a picture of the price tracker from the 'other site' as it shows the price drop perfectly. I'm a little annoyed that I missed this myself as it looks like this might not stick around for a price drop

No, there's no law that would grant you the lower price.

But the Amazon Pre-order Price Guarantee is pretty much as good as law at Amazon.

I just sent an email to Amazon CS (with reference to the Amazon price history graph), and the reply was

The Price Guarantee will work automatically and the difference in price of the lowest price of GBP 17.10 should be refunded within 48 hours after dispatch of your order as it is a completely automated procedure.

In case you haven't received the refund in the difference in price even after February 02, 2014 please let us know and we will refund the difference manually.

So I'll just remain patiently waiting for a few days - just got a dispatch email from Amazon UK half an hour ago.

After argue for 10 mins on amazon live chat at 4am this morning and being told by the assistant the price never dropped I got an automated feedback email. So gave them back feedback and told them what I thought of their price promise!

Received this email a few hours later.

My advice if anyone else is having problems is to state the link they provided in this email showing price drop.
