Additional info from Noodles

Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

eBay seems to be flooded with copies of this, yet, the price is really high. Am I missing something there? I missed out on this one though- placed my order on a Friday and told on the Monday it was now out of stock. Why do these companies let you place the order in the first place? It can't be that difficult to link actual stock count to a web-site!!

Hey folks let's ease up and keep it on topic, no need to get personal. Any eBay or retailer specific chatter should go to there respective threads. No personal attacks will be tolerated. Thanks for understanding. :)

Per forum rules, and our dos and donts thread, we don't chat about ebay in discussion threads, we don't talk about scalping and resale, and we use our "price is high' thread and many other avenues to chat about these items.

As Kelly has stated, personal attacks are not tolerated. If you receive a warning pm, expect that if the behavior continues, you'll get some time off from the forum.

Thread cleaned a bit, and we're going to give this one a day or two off.

Temporarily locked.

Thanks

Yeah. To my surprisem basecom @play shipped my order yesterday though money was taken on 27th Jan. Wish they shipped last week as I paid 30 to amazon, the highest I have ever spent on a UK Steelbook for a new release. :(

Sounds like I should put the amazon copy on eBay while it is hot and use any money made for future purchases subject to delivery of the basecom order.:ohno:

I really don't see what all the fuss is about with this steelbook. It looks sooo bland and uninspired to me. Just red all over with the words Rush written on it. How is that creative design? Personally I think the Lenticular slip turned out WAAYY better. BIG Pass on this one for me.

I'd never seen this, but blind bought it in HMV on release day. They only had one left. Soooo glad I did. It's a lush looking red. And the red/cream combination, it's got a lovely Coca Cola Vanilla thing going on. :)

+1 I was on holiday when this launched but managed to grab the last copy in my local HMV as well - I remember when it was available for pre-order thinking "that's boring" but when I saw it I could see why everyone was going nuts over it!

I am off the same opinion, not till I had it in hand in HMV did I decide to buy it.
The red finish is superb.

I came to this thread expecting to hear general chatter and seeing copies, not the mini crisis that has formed around this title. Once it sold out, people had to have it. I thought of ordering an extra copy when it got here, but what's the point when you have one perfect copy?

It joins a lineup of spectacular RED releases. :oohyeah:

I wish I had my Omen, Scott Pilgrim and There Will Be Blood, but I may have had to move to another location. :p

You are missing Zulu from your collection mate, a spectacular red steelbook. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. :) It may be spectacular in-hand, but it's too old to fit in with this group. That's why I gifted 3 old titles during Ninja Week -- a housekeeping of sorts. More isn't necessarily better. ;)

I'm sorry but this is bullshit, "housekeeping"? just because the films were old?...please tell me this is a joke XD Old films aren't bad just because they are old, if that was the case a lot of classics would be screwed.

It's too old to fit into a collection of red Steelbooks? Okay :ugh:
