Additional info from Noodles

Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

As it was region B only and (in my opinion) a boring looking steelbook I passed on this. I had a momentary regret when it sold out. But now Italy have a great looking Rush steelbook I'm happy I didn't buy this. I'll put a region A disc in mine and sell off the B.

You say that because you did not have on hand. It is a pure beauty.

I came to this thread expecting to hear general chatter and seeing copies, not the mini crisis that has formed around this title. Once it sold out, people had to have it. I thought of ordering an extra copy when it got here, but what's the point when you have one perfect copy?

It joins a lineup of spectacular RED releases. :oohyeah:

I wish I had my Omen, Scott Pilgrim and There Will Be Blood, but I may have had to move to another location. :p

Mind if I ask where you got the Jurassic Park from? It doesn't like the huge jumbo pack I've seen...

Of course I'm saying that because I didn't have it on hand (I really do wonder what some people think when they post on here!)

I saw a product image and description. And I wasn't about to buy a steelbook that I didn't like the look of with a disc that didn't play in my player.

Now, it may be great, if you're in the UK, to have a disc you can play, get free delivery and free or cheap returns. But when it's going to cost you around $13 to return a product you don't like then you think twice before you spend money on steelbooks.

And I think the Italian one is much better. It's certainly much closer to the steelbook I wanted. That's my opinion.

I did not buy mine from an Internet seller as I did not like the look of the online pictures. I looked at it in my local HMV and it changed my mind. It is actually quite a stunning steel.

It may be stunning but that opportunity has passed for me. I didn't expect it to sell out, and for me it's definitely not worth the prices they go for on ebay. As I said, I had a momentary regret. But I like the look of the Italian steelbook much more. Time will tell if it's a winner or not. I'm kind of hoping when the Italian one comes out everyone goes OMG I must have this! and the UK reseller prices drop :)
