Sainsburys - SteelBook Retailer Thread [UK]

Hi Guys,

has anyone had any experience ordering from Sainsburys? Just wondering what their packaging is like and if it's better than Zavvi's?

I agree the customer service was great, but these situations are avoidable.

Ordered The Great Escape steelbook from sainsburys on the 16th and received it this morning.Was suprised it turned up so quickly as i'd heard they usually take around a full week from ordering to arrive.The packaging was the standard cardboard mailer with not much protection but I guess I was lucky as there was not a mark on the steel.For the price of £12 i'm glad I gambled.Think I might just use them again

The cardboard mailer they use now is better than a plain jiffy bag of old.
All I will say though is that it's a good thing I'm opening my copy of Oblivion as the phantom spineslasher has been at work again

so much for that guy talkin about "new" packaging earlier . At least my steels seem undamaged

^^ that is the 'usual' packaging they use. Recently I've been receiving new releases (Oblivion for example) in thicker and larger wraparound mailers.

Their customer service is excellent. No "please prove its damaged with pictures", no waiting for 2 days for a response just bam replacement sent! If the replacement is damaged theyll replace that too!

Part of this deal is the Life Of Pi 3D Steelbook!

I can't order it (trying to buy 2 of the lifeofpi).
It says that the order is refused by the processor or something

I use a forwarder in the UK. That's how I get most of my UK products .

I just realised their website probably would've stopped you ordering before you got to the point of the order failing.

Yes, you can not select a country. It is standard the UK, so it's not an address issue. It's not a credit card issue either (I think), I used a different one, same error. Trying to order just 2 of life of pi, mainly because it will press shipping costs (I've a lot of stuff @ my forwarder, and shipping costs will be the same even if I add 2 or 3 more steelbooks, that's what I am trying to do ).

Hopefully you manage to get your order through. It's an awesome Steelbook, one that's even worth paying full price for, so £12 is a bargain

i am trying to order 2 of the same title, did you guys order 2 as well, or only 1 (and the other one being a different 3d title)?

maybe they don't accept forwarder address?
or maybe they look at my IP address (located in Netherlands) instead?
It's weird though, never had a problem ... use it to order from Play & eBay .
