Juan - Of every package that I ordered from overseas at the end of November / month of December - each one has arrived (with that one exception).

I ordered an Inception briefcase on 12/28 and it hasn't arrived yet. I'm confident that yours will arrive - the delays in US Customs are MASSIVE.

They are only doing a limited number of packages until February (I think) and the new security measures are holding lots of items up...

What's the real process within customs? Like why does it take so long?

Remember that bomb from Yemen? Thing #1 they've changed is to x-ray all large packages. Then they've put a limit on things weighing over a certain size...tons of stuff going on right now...

And those weather delays didn't help...

USA
Start date: 18th November
End date: Ongoing

Since November 2010, the United States Department of Homeland Security has increased security measures for items carried on passenger airlines. As a result, mail entering the US from around the world, and including the UK, that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft must now travel by other means, including ships and cargo planes.

This is resulting in an extension to transit times for some items, mainly heavier items, but also Destination Sort bags posted under contract by business customers. We’re really sorry for these unavoidable delays and are doing everything we can to keep mail moving out of and into the UK.

We have implemented a number of contingency plans to ensure as much of our customers’ mail reaches the US as quickly as possible and are continuing to work to minimise disruption to our customers, whilst ensuring we comply fully with the US directives and regulations.

I am still waiting on Twilight Triple from Amazon UK, and a package from Russia which has taken over 6 weeks, with no scan in US. I am really hoping it's not lost, as it's irreplacable.....YIKES! But as several of us have posted customs, the weather and an apparent 200,000 package backlog at one point has definitely slowed the entire system to a crawl...

Yeah, just hoping not too many folks' items show up in chips....

My last package arrived with one of those small white stickers that said "Arrived damaged to NYC/NJ blah blah blah" and they taped the whole box over with about a mile of packing tape. Kind of explains how the package was "never" scanned.

It also had some type of large grease stain on it.

I have no idea how that happened.

Hey Andy, yeah we've had that happen, too-very scary. The last package I got from relatives in Europe was so badly dented that I was sure the contents was smashed to bits. Some were (but nothing too valuable, it was candy, LOL). Still, when I saw the box, I was like "UGH"....

Im still waiting for my Shogun Assassin that has Horhay's Pilgrim in it ... hope his isnt damaged :p
